At Camp Wicosuta, one of the ways we teach campers about building COMMUNITY is by giving back. Our campers
and staff participate in several charitable events over the summer designed to strengthen our Wicosuta community
as well as the larger community in which we live. Instilling these values in our campers and staff is part of what
makes Wicosuta special.
MORRY'S CAMP SWIMATHON
in support of Project Morry
Project Morry is a year-round youth development organization that provides to each child a multi-year commitment
anchored by a superb residential summer camp experience at Morry's Camp. The children, for whom these experiences
would not otherwise be available, benefit from a network of support and gain increased social skills, enhanced
self-esteem, positive core values and a greater sense of personal responsibility. Each summer, Camp Wicosuta runs
a Swim-A-Thon to raise money for Morry's Camp. Campers and staff swim laps and parents and friends donate money
for each lap completed.

DANCE MARATHON
Raising awareness of breast cancer and in support of Faulkner-Sagoff Breast Cancer Research Center
The Faulkner Breast Centre, located in the Belkin House at Faulkner Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts,
is dedicated to providing the most up-to-date, comprehensive breast care for women, including active clinical
research, high-quality treatment and patient education. The first of its kind in the country, the Faulkner Breast
Centre has earned an outstanding reputation for its exceptional treatment of breast disease, compassion for patients
and their families and focus on patient empowerment.
The Annual Camp Wicosuta Dance Marathon is run by our older campers. They pick the theme, decorate our dining hall,
and emcee. Campers and staff dance throughout the evening, create cards, bracelets, and other gifts for cancer
patients and raise their awareness of breast cancer while having a blast!
