Camp Wicosuta is for you!
Welcome to the Wico Family. We understand that this will be your first time leaving your family and home and we will do
everything we can to make you feel a part of our community. By the end of the summer you will be referring to Wico as your
"second home." The way we help you feel "at home" at Wico is through our Big Sister Program and careful bunk placement!
BIG SISTER PROGRAM
When you sign up for Camp Wicosuta, we will assign you a Big Sister - an older girl who has been to Camp Wicosuta for at least
one summer. She will be your first camp friend. She will call or e-mail you, so you can get to know each other before camp
even starts. When we get to camp, we will have Big Sister/Little Sister event to help you get to know each other.
You will work on a project together, sit together and get your picture taken together and participate in other fun activities!
CAREFUL BUNK PLACEMENT
To ensure your happiness from the start, we will ask you and your parents important questions about you. This information
will help your counselors get to know you better and will help us know what type of campers to bunk you with. Our goal is
for you to share your summer with kind and considerate fellow campers, girls who you will return to camp with for years
to come!
WHAT IF I GET HOMESICK?
Missing your parents is 100% normal. Should you feel homesick at camp, know
that there are caring and nurturing people at camp (your counselors and friends) who will help you feel better quickly.
Wicosuta is a place where people care for one another!
