WHAT IS A DAY AT WICO LIKE?
8:00 a.m.     Reveille - Counselors rise with the girls, and get everyone to breakfast. Breakfast is casual; campers and counselors often roll into breakfast in their PJs.
8:20 a.m. Breakfast - Counselors supervise an assigned table in the dining room.
8:50 a.m. Flag Raising - Counselors and campers convene for the raising of the flag and hear about birthdays, intercamp competitions & other morning announcements.
9:00 a.m. Bunk Clean Up - Counselors are present to supervise and participate in cleanup.
9:40 a.m. Morning Meeting - Counselors and campers hear announcements about evening activities, intercamp competitions, etc. and participate in singing AM songs and cheers :-)
10:00 a.m. Morning Activity Periods begin - Counselors supervise and teach two morning instruction periods each 50 minutes long.
11:50 a.m. Morning Activity Periods End
12:00 p.m. Lunch - Counselors supervise an assigned table in the dining room.
12:45 p.m. Rest Hour - Counselors are present at all times in the bunk to supervise and interact quietly with the campers.
2:00 p.m. Afternoon Activity Periods Begin - Counselors supervise and teach three afternoon instruction periods each 50 minutes long.
5:00 p.m. Afternoon Selective Meeting
5:15 p.m. Selective - Counselors organize and participate in one of several special activities for a 45 minute period. Examples include: a team practice, drawing with sidewalk chalk, social prep, friendship bracelets, reading or just playing with your campers.
6:15 p.m. Dinner - Counselors serve and supervise a table.
7:00 p.m. Flag Lowering - The staff publicly acknowledge the campers for their great accomplishments of the day.
7:15 p.m. Evening Activity - Counselors participate in or run an evening activity for or with their bunk (campfires, talent shows, socials).
8:30 p.m. Counselors are present to supervise preparation for bed.
9:30 p.m. Night Schedule - Counselors will be on duty in a bunk or will have time off. Any counselor not on duty will have use of the pool and lighted tennis courts from 9:30-11pm, or enjoy free time to relax and grab a snack in the staff lounge, call home, talk with friends, etc.
1:00 a.m. All staff must be signed in (AKA: Bed Time Sign In or BTSI) and in bunks by 1am.
