105 Years of Wico — A Reunion to Remember
In August, we came together to celebrate something truly extraordinary: 105 summers of Camp Wicosuta. Our reunion wasn’t just a gathering — it was a homecoming. From the moment alumnae stepped back onto camp soil, the air was filled with joy, laughter, and the kind of connections that only Wico can create.
All weekend long, familiar sights and sounds brought memories rushing back — the rhythm of tennis balls on the courts, the smell of cookout lunch, and the glow of the Wico campfire under the night sky. Old friends reconnected as if no time had passed at all, while new friendships formed easily — just like they always have here.

We were honored to welcome alumnae from across the generations — including one who attended camp in the 1940s! Together, we flipped through old yearbooks, admired memorabilia, and took a walk down memory lane. Alumni gathered in the Dining Hall to sing songs from their years at camp, filling the room with the same Wico spirit that has carried through every generation. As one alum shared, “It feels like you are guarding her for us, and we know she is in such wonderful hands.”
Throughout the weekend, the feedback from alumnae reflected what we all felt — that the magic of Wico was alive and well. “The camp looks beautiful. The activities and pace were perfect. The details were so thoughtful, and our traditions shone through. We so appreciate all of the hard work both physically, and to make sure everyone is happy in their happy place.”
Some chose the adventure of Bear Mountain or the thrill of the high ropes course. Others found quiet moments at yoga, painted in the Art Barn, or simply enjoyed soaking in the view. No matter where you turned, there was laughter, storytelling, and the magic of being back at camp. Another alum put it best: “My friends and I had such an amazing time, and it truly meant so much to be back at camp. The energy, the thoughtfulness, and all the effort that went into making it happen were felt and deeply appreciated.”

We were also proud to come together as a community to raise funds for Project Morry, carrying forward Wico’s commitment to making a difference beyond our camp gates. That spirit of giving back is part of what makes Wico timeless — a place that has always been about connection, tradition, and making the world a little brighter.
The highlight, though, wasn’t any one activity. It was the feeling — the same one that has carried through 105 summers. A sense of belonging. Of shared history. Of camp spirit that doesn’t fade, no matter how many years go by. “Wico is truly a magical place, and I cannot thank you enough for keeping it that way,” another alumnae wrote.
As we gathered around the campfire, it was clear: Wico is more than a place. It’s a community, a family, and a lifelong home. Our 105th reunion was a celebration of the past, a reminder of the present, and a promise for all the summers still to come.
Here’s to Wico — yesterday, today, and always.
