Wico Explorers: Two-Week Session
Wico’s Two-Week Explorer Session is designed for first-time campers currently in Grades 1-3 (First Session) and Grades 1-4 (Second Session). Although many first-time campers come to Wico for a complete session, a Wico Explorer is a girl who prefers a shorter first-time camp experience.
Cabin Life
- Campers enjoy a 3:1 camper-to-counselor ratio
- Explorers’ enrollment is limited to one small cabin (6-8 girls) in each of our two-three younger age groups.
The Program Includes
- A sampling of traditional program days, so that girls may try a number of camp activities including swim instruction, waterfront, court & field sports, visual arts, performing arts and outdoor adventure
- 1-2 Special Event Days
- 1 day-long off-camp field trip
The Explorer experience is designed to build comfort and confidence so that your child is eager to return for the complete experience the next summer.
Logistics
- Travel to camp: We offer camp transportation (included in tuition) from the Tri State area as well as from both Boston Logan and Manchester Regional Airports.
- On the last day of camp, parents are invited to pick up their daughter in person, to join us for a brief visit, and to see camp in action. As an option, we offer transportation home to Boston Logan Airport.
