Our 2022 Team – Continued

With under 100 days until the start of 1^st session, the countdown to summer is officially on! We are so excited to welcome (and welcome back) our staff to Wico for summer 2022. Along with our campers, they help make our Wico community so special.

Like our campers, our staff have several options on how to spend their summer (from internships to travel to other jobs). From first year staff to those who have spent several summers with us, something compels them to Wico. We asked several of our 2022 staff what made them choose Wico above all else.

I chose to work at Wico (again) because of its awesome people and working environment.

So many people call me a dreamer because I believe in THE working environment. A place where you feel valued, where your actions matter, and you do your job with pleasure because you enjoy the process. If there’s something I absolutely love about working at Wico, it is feeling that I belong and feeling like it is worth giving my best, because it won’t be in vain. So, does Wico fulfill my so called “dream working environment”? Absolutely!

At Wico, you teach, but you also learn. You learn about having a schedule and being responsible, working as a team, working with children that look up to you, to ask for help when you need it (without feeling ashamed), how important it is to rest to be ready for the next day, and  so many things without even realizing it. It’s just great.

I chose to work at Wico because of the empowerment it brings to the female community. I am eager to join this team, to support girls while promoting the 3 Cs. Small changes can make a big difference, which is what I am most excited about! – Anastasia (first summer 2022)

We are so exhilarated by the talent coming to camp this summer, from the lake to the courts, we have exceptional staff in every activity area. Besides their talent, our staff are passionate about working with kids and experiencing an impactful summer with them.

We are grateful for the summer ahead and our staff who are committed to give our campers the summer of a lifetime!
